East Village
Triathlon Homes is a joint venture company established by East Thames Group, First Base and Southern Housing Group. It acquired high quality homes for people and is contributing to ensuring a successful legacy for Stratford and the wider east London community after the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Of the 2,818 homes at the Olympic Village (now East Village), Triathlon Homes acquired 1,379, which it has managed from 2013/14. First Base was involved from the inception of the scheme, taking on the role as a judge on the ODA’s selection panel for the architects for the residential buildings. This involvement helped shape the ODA’s masterplan, the tenure mix and the overall architectural language for East Village.
First Base's role within Triathlon Homes encompasses a wide variety of workstreams from business planning to design and construction through to sales, marketing and end user occupation and management. In 2013, East Village won the Gold Award at the Field Marketing and Brand Experience Awards for its place marketing experiential campaign.
